Why rejuvenation?
Why now?

Remember your New Year’s resolutions?
Maybe it’s better you didn’t. Let’s face it, those turn-of-the-year promises are often born of a sense of failure. Many times we form resolutions based on a dim view of ourselves: If only we were better. If only we were thinner. If only we were more organized. If only, if only, if only …

The heck with that.
So now that the first gasp of good intentions is over, let’s have some fun. Let’s find the things that pick us up and give us energy. Everything is on the table, from the silly to the serious.
Let’s give a shout to the best in us and keep our focus there. Let’s be kind to ourselves. Let’s do what makes us happy. Let’s celebrate the best things in our lives. That’s what this issue of Lee is all about.

That’s what we mean by rejuvenation. It’s not about making yourself better; it’s about coming alive to what you’re already doing right.
Here are some questions to ask yourself to gain the right rejuvenation perspective:
What if something went right? Dwell if you must on the things that worry you, but remind yourself daily that at any moment, something could go absolutely right at any time for any reason, and you’d be utterly powerless to stop it. Keep your eye out for this.

In what ways are you smarter, funnier, quicker, sassier, sharper than you used to be? Think of examples.
• What fun things do you want to do more often? Big things are fine. Little things are even better.
• Who are your favorite people? Make a list. Now call them and plan to get together.
• What is your calling? What is it that only you can offer to the world and the people around you?

Got the idea?
Good.
Now go forth and rejuvenate!
